The bottom-up approach analysed the indicators published in 526 port annual reports. Top-down approach reviewed literature and legislation and port professionals views’. EPIs were selected from previous projects and feedback from ESPO committee members. The bottom-up approach analysed a total number of 526 ports, allowing the identification of the most frequent indicators used by them.
